New Year! Back to work, kids will be back in school soon, and gyms are full with January new year new me energy.
While the enthusiasm is real and setting ambitious goals is important. Ask yourself, what’s the point if you can’t stick to them?
Here’s our advice, drawn from personal experience and observing others: Keep it real. If it’s not sustainable for the long haul, it’s time for a rethink.
For beginners stepping into our academy, we always recommend starting with 2 lessons per week – consider anything beyond that a bonus. Why? Because two sessions are ample to witness skill and fitness progression, keeping you hooked. Committing to four plus sessions per week might lead to guilt and a sense of failure if you can’t keep it up.
Now, don’t get us wrong–we’re not discouraging more training. Once you’re comfortably handling two lessons and ready to explore three, it’s the perfect moment to reassess and elevate your training program.
If you’re ready to embrace martial arts in 2024, we’ve got you sorted! We take pride in being the go-to experts for beginners.
